About.

We're a group of people who care a lot about the environment. We're teachers, scientists, gardeners, and just folks who are into living sustainably. We want to change how everyone treats organic waste, dirt, and nature. We started out thinking about all the stuff we throw away – like food scraps, yard stuff, and paper. It's not really trash! It can actually make dirt better, help plants and animals, and shrink our mark on the planet.

We saw that this stuff could be useful, and we wanted to get everyone composting and living in a way that doesn't hurt the earth. At first, it was just a few people composting at home. But then we wanted to get everyone involved – families, neighborhoods, all turning trash into good dirt, and taking care of the earth for the next generations.

Over time, we started thinking bigger than just homes. We got schools, gardens, parks, and farms involved. If we can show everyone that composting is easy and makes a difference, we can get people to think about trash differently and start using resources wisely.

### Our Goal

Our goal is to get people to see that organic waste isn't trash, but something useful. We want to give them the info, teach them how, and give them the tools to:

*   Send less organic waste to landfills.
*   Cut down on greenhouse gases by handling waste the right way.
*   Make soil healthier in cities, suburbs, and the countryside.
*   Help people garden, farm, and live in a way that's good for the earth.
*   Get communities working together and sharing ideas to make a bigger difference.

We want to live in a world where being green is just part of everyday life. Every banana peel, every bit of grass, every leaf that falls is a chance to feed the soil, help nature, and do something good for the planet.

### What We Believe

We believe that being sustainable starts with knowing what's going on, understanding why it's important, and doing small things on purpose. Composting is a perfect example: It's easy, it's something you can see and touch, and it works.

Here's what we think is important:

*   Everything has value: Food scraps, leaves, coffee grounds can all turn into compost that helps plants grow and brings life back to the soil.
*   If you know stuff, you can do stuff: If we can explain things clearly, give people tips, and show them how to do things step by step, they can make a real change.
*   Working together is better: When we share what we know, help each other out, and cheer each other on, we get stronger and do more to live sustainably.
*   New ideas can help: We're open to any new ways to compost, try new stuff, and come up with creative solutions that make things faster, better, and easier for everyone.

We think composting is more than just something you do. It's a way of thinking, where you connect with nature, understand how things work, and take responsibility for the mark you leave on the environment.

### Here’s How We Do It

We have a well-rounded way to teach and get composting going, to make sure it's easy, sustainable, and works for the long haul.

### Teaching and Learning

We give everyone the information they need to compost, from choosing the right method and bin, to mixing browns and greens for the best results. We teach them how to keep an eye on moisture, temperature, and air so the compost is healthy. We also help them fix any problems like bad smells or slow composting. Finally, we show them how to use the finished compost to make their soil and plants better. Our classes, workshops, and online stuff is for everyone, whether they're just starting out, are really into gardening, or are professionals.

### Getting the Community Involved

We think it's important for the community to be part of this. So, we team up with schools to teach kids about cutting down on waste and taking care of the earth. We work with local groups to get composting going in the community. We organize events where people can volunteer to fix up parks and use compost. We also help neighborhoods get their own green projects going. We're trying to make composting not just something you do, but something the whole community values.

### Research and New ideas

We keep checking out and coming up with new ways to compost, so it's quicker, cleaner, and works better. This includes hot composting, using worms to make great compost, and trying out new systems for stuff that's normally hard to compost, like meat and dairy. We also look at how to control air, moisture, and temperature to get the best results. By staying on top of new compost science, we can give people the best ways to be sustainable.

### What’s Happened So Far

Since we started, we've worked with tons of people and groups to cut down on waste, fix the soil, and live sustainably. Here's what we've done:

*   Kept tons of organic waste out of landfills.
*   Made soil better in gardens, farms, and parks, so plants and animals are healthier.
*   Showed tons of kids and adults how to live green.
*   Helped make the environment stronger by doing things that cut down on greenhouse gases and bring back nature.

But more than just the numbers, we're proud that we're getting people to think differently about composting. It's something to be proud of, something we can all do together, and a real way to help the planet.

### How We Do It

We use all sorts of composting methods so everyone can find something that works for them, like backyard composting, compost tumblers, worm composting, trench composting, and Bokashi fermentation. We explain each method carefully, step by step, so people can do it no matter how much space they have, what the weather's like, or how much experience they have.

### What’s Important to Us

*   Sustainability: Doing things that don't hurt the environment and bring back nature.
*   Accessibility: Making composting easy for everyone, no matter where they live.
*   Education: Giving people the knowledge to make good choices about sustainability.
*   Community: Working together makes a bigger difference and builds a community that cares.
*   Innovation: Being open to new ideas that make composting better.

### What We Hope For

We hope for a world where:

*   Everyone knows that organic waste is useful.
*   Communities, schools, and homes are all composting and fixing their soil.
*   Everyone learns about sustainability and makes it a habit.
*   Nature is brought back to life through taking care of the soil.
*   The next generations get a healthier planet.

We think every peel, every leaf, and every bit of food waste can make a difference. By turning trash into life, we can fight climate change, help plants and animals, and make our communities stronger.

### Meet Us

Our team is made up of people who are passionate about all sorts of things, like science, teaching, gardening, city planning, and sustainability. Everyone on the team brings something special, so our projects are useful, based on science, and make a difference. We all work together to keep getting better, listen to what the community needs, and come up with new ideas in the world of composting and sustainable living.

### Big and Small Changes

We're focused on helping people with their waste, but we also know that what we do has a big impact on the world. Organic waste in landfills makes a big contribution to greenhouse gases. When we compost, we're helping reduce those gases, making soil better, and building communities across the world that care about the environment. We want to team up with schools, cities, and environmental groups to share what we know, and create a ripple effect that goes beyond just our backyards.

### Get Involved!

Join our mission. Whether you're brand new to composting, a gardener who wants to make their soil better, or someone who wants to promote sustainability in their community, there's a place for you here.

Together, we can:

*   Turn organic waste into soil food.
*   Grow amazing gardens and green spaces.
*   Help the environment while getting the community involved.
*   Get everyone thinking about living green and taking care of the earth.
